My friend said that she got it off the internet but i couldn’t find it.
She had windows vista running on her laptop yet she had a mac- like toolbar at the bottom and the top looked exactly like a mac yet the computer was running windows.

It had the mac toolbar, the top bar looked like a mac, and the windows explorer was in the middle.

Do you know what this is

If you know what this means, please, tell me what it is or how to fix it. I already tried to reinstall with no luck.

I have a very old computer currently running Windows 95, that I’d like to fix up for my little siblings for schoolwork. Can you recommend a free operating system that I could download a CD image for (the computer doesn’t have a DVD-RAM drive)?
Please include why you recommend this operating system, and a link to where I can download it.

I just recently downloaded Linux (Ubuntu 7.04, I believe, it’s old because my CPU couldn’t handle and I got it all installed and running, but I can’t get the files that were on my desktop in Windows onto my desktop in Linux. Copying takes too much space and I can’t figure out how to make a short cut.

I turned on computer this morning and my IE has been disabled. (I am currently In Safe Mode just to ask this).

My ESET Nod 32 detected a Threat - Description as follows:

(I was running a scan with my Nod 32 scanner) - Now I can’t
even open IE under normal operations. AND ESET keeps popping up with a RED Window with the above information - but cannot clean or delete. I have tried Superantispyware, Spybot S & D, no errors even found! I went to PC Hell but there is no clear definition there to help with VISTA. Please Help! Much appreciated?!!!
Michael - I have constantly tried to find this under Add/Remove - It’s not showing up. Only Toolbars there are Yahoo and MSN. Nothing that says “MyWeb”…?!

I recently wiped my computer clean and now I am trying to find the right drivers to help it connect to the internet. The computer was a Dimension c521 running with Vista, and I currently have XP running on it. I have the Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 driver, is there anything else I would need and how would I go about doing this?

I recently reformatted my computer and I’ve been reinstalling the drivers, but I keep getting errors for some of them.

I’m running Vista Premium 32-bit. I’m trying to get my nvidia card to work (7600) but when I try and install the driver it says it can’t find compatible hardware. I’ve tried installing it from the driver disc and offline, both the 7 and 6 series and nothing will work.

i have installed trojan remover, spybot s&d, and i have AVG and Windows defender running on my laptop. I have done scans with avg and spybot and everything else i have, and it will find the file and remove it, but once i start windows again, it pops back up….its starting to annoy the hell out of me now, and i would really rather not reinstall windows, because that just takes forever. Can anyone help me?
