I wont go near a Mac and Windows is starting to annoy me, I need a new operating system. I was thinking about getting Ubuntu.

I’m really literate with Windows, but a course of study I am signing up for provides a Mac Laptop, and I know absolutely nothing about Mac. I just want to know the major differences. And the pros and cons of mac vs windows.

i have a mac with windows installed on it. Every time i start it it goes directly to windows unless i press the option button down at the first second. Is there any way i could make mac be my default. (like windows is now?

I recently brought a macbook, but would like an external harddrive that works with both windows and mac. is there any one that does? or what type of external harddrives are out there for just mac?

You see, the network to access the internet here at home requires a password to connect to it, should you be using a Mac or a Windows based OS. However, my Linux just connects to the network without asking for a password. But I can’t access the internet since I didn’t enter the password. And I have no idea how to enter it. Any help?
