My friend said that she got it off the internet but i couldn’t find it.
She had windows vista running on her laptop yet she had a mac- like toolbar at the bottom and the top looked exactly like a mac yet the computer was running windows.

It had the mac toolbar, the top bar looked like a mac, and the windows explorer was in the middle.

Do you know what this is

each time i on my laptop, a notice pops out with a big honk that sounds like one that you hear in quizzes shows on tv when someone is giving a wrong answer.

it says in the notice : your DLL from c:/windows/system32 has been moved because hhctrl.ocx is occupying the whole range of adress ..something something and supplier of dll should be contacted something something. being a computer retard, i just think that i have to delete this hhctrl.ocx to get the DLL back in place to wherever it was. but i couldnt delete this hhctrl.ocx. i tracked down in the system32 folder, and this hhctrl.ocx is present with an icon of those green and yellow gears. (btw im using windows XP here). so what to do? i dont know if this is because i downloaded games from websites or is it because i updated the windows because i remember being prompted from the windows taskbar. or toolbar. whichever.

I got an adware program calling itself Surf Sidekick. The individual programs the make up the program are called “Ssk”, “Sskcore.dll”, “Sskbho.dll”.
Norton can’t get rid of it, Macafee can’t get rid of it. If you try to erase it a message comes up reading that it is currently in use by another person, even when I disable my laptops external card.
Its bugging the hell outta me. Everytime I try I use it ads are interuppting what I want to do.
Right now Im on my parent’s computer, if I was on my laptop I would not be able to finish out this entire question.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Please only serious suggestions. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

Before you give the gut reaction, the driver for the sound card, let me explain that I know this. I have two used desktops and one used laptop I’ve repaired, exchanging some parts. The desktops are 98 and the laptop is ME. I’ve identified the sound card, downloaded the appropriate driver and istalled it. The problem? While the computers think everything is OK, all 3 do not produce sound. If it were one, I’d call it a bad sound card, but not all three. When I look on my XP computer, there is a whole bunch of items in addition to the sound card driver listed under sound devices in the device manager. Are there other software drivers that need to be installed in addition to the actual sound card driver?
I appreciate your answers so far, but they aren’t getting it. VOlume control will not open, but it shows the device working properly in device manager. I found out what sound card I had by taking it out an looking at it. The sound worked before I had to switch harddrives out. The restore CDs won’t work because of the changed parts I’m assuming. Any other suggestions?

How in the hell do I do this. My freakin laptop crashed and its not even 5 months old. Any Help??

Just completed a Windows XP Pro restore back to the way I got laptop and have installed favorite programs. What is the easiest way to create an image of my operating system so that if I have to restore laptop back to way I got it again I don’t have to manually reinstall all my favorite programs again?

I uses a Windows Vista operating system on my laptop. What is the difference based on performance and everything in a 32-bit oerating system and a 64-bit oerating system?

I want to make an operating system backup with my current os which is Windows Vista Home Premium because I have encountered an error with my laptop that said “Operating not Found” and I do not want to take my laptop again to the repair center because they repair it in a long period of time. So how do I make an operating system backup?
